3-DAY CONFERENCE
In conjunction with the Singapore Garden Festival to be held from August 16-24, 2014 at the Meadows, Garden by the Bay, IPRS is organizing a 3-Day Conference from August 18-20, 2014 for the benefit of developers, planners, architects, landscape architects, park managers, engineering, and other related professionals.
SINGAPLURAL 2013 – CELEBRATING DESIGN
SingaPLural represents a single entity that displays the best design elements from the multifaceted creative spectrum: Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, as well as Interior, Furniture, Graphic, and Fashion Design.
In support of the Singapore Institute of Planners, IPRS contributed to the event by creating a green vertical wall at the entrance of Dhoby Gahut Green. In addition, Limei, an award-winning wildlife artist from IPRS, exhibited her batik paintings. Other activities in the event included exercises, singing, and night of jokes.
Park Walks and Historical Visits
IPRS ensures that the tradition of parks and recreation live on through scheduled walks in our parks. We want to provide families with endless bonding opportunities, making these places a backdrop of happy memories and fun experiences. Our goal is to break down generational boundaries by bringing together people of all ages in an environment that has something to offer everyone. This includes various fitness activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.
We also organize historical visits so as to share the rich heritage of Singapore’s parks and recreational centres. We want the youth to have a better appreciation of these places by imparting them with knowledge of its background. Similarly, we also cater to foreigners who are eager to explore and learn more about our country.
Fundraising Projects
IPRS has come a long way since its inception. Our journey was not always smooth; in fact we had a lot of bumps on the road. Today, we are grateful to be in a position to help other non-profit organizations with their causes.
As part of our core values, we spearhead several fundraising projects that have green initiatives. We work with people who have a similar vision as ours, one that involves a sustainable future through a lively environment.
At the same time, we also take notice of the marginalized parts of our society. We actively participate in projects aimed towards the elderly and people with special needs, among many others. Our goal is to help mould a caring and enriching Singapore for all those who live here.
Overseas Study and Travel Tours
IPRS takes a proactive stance on improving Singapore’s parks and recreation centres. We want to put our country in a place of pride when it comes to the global industry. As such, we are constantly learning and implementing the best and the latest practices in management.
We invite several experts to study and contribute to the development of our parks and recreation centres. Through our overseas study and travel tour programmes, we are able to push ourselves further into becoming a better organization. Listed below are some of the events that we take part in:
